Reiki is a therapy often described as gentle, hands-on healing in which a practitioner places hands lightly on or just over your body to facilitate physical, mental, and emotional healing.

Reiki combines the Japanese and Chinese words of “rei” (spiritual) and “ki” (vital energy). One of the basic ideas is that this vital energy can be channeled to support the body’s natural ability to heal itself. People most often find that they feel relaxed, rested, and “lighter” after a session while others report they feel energized and “grounded.” Above all, Reiki promotes relaxation which lowers your body’s stress-response.
